Site and permanence

Site: Part of the ground floor and the mezzanine floor.
Hours:
Sunday to Wednesday from 08:00 am to 10:00 pm,
Thursdays from 08:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Saturdays from 11:00 am to 06:00p.m.

When changing the timings, supervisors and students are notified.

  • The library provides services for university students and professors and members of the administration.
Introduction
  • The library began offering its services to students and faculty members on the opening of the university itself in 2012.
  • The library began with a modest set of books.
  • This set has grown and diversified, and has become a large number of different of different information files from books, periodicals both paper and electronic, and 6000 encyclopedias/volumes.
Purchases of the Library

The library now embraces the following groups of information sources:
Encyclopedias and reference books: the library contains up to date more than 6000 thousand volumes and paper books, 1,200 e-book titles and 30 electronic periodicals, books covering all branches of human knowledge, focusing on the acquisition of books and references about topics related to disciplines taught in the University.

Technical procedures and tools used in the library:
  • The library uses the Dewey decimal system to classify its folders of information sources.
  • The library uses the Sierra system to computerize their collections of information sources.
Services provided by the Library
  • Booking shelf:

Books are placed on a booking shelf at the request of faculty members or at the initiative of the library. Loan books are placed on a booking shelf and are lent for one night only. The library manages their use during office hours. The night-loan begins an hour before the official working hours of the library and ends an hour after the beginning of the next day.

  • Reference and research service.
